Babies have always been in The Sims 4 universe but they were nothing more than bald, ambiguous little blocks of prop that cried and slept. EA has teased for months that they were working on a ‘special project’, which we now know is the infant update we’ve all been waiting for. So we can now finally explore and evoke our parental instincts with this Infant update!
Longtime players of The Sims 4 have long complained about the unplayable babies until EA gave us toddlers in 2017.
So it was a big deal when SimGuruGraham in his article revealed everything there was to know about the Infant update.
In this new patch update, the chunky pieces of NPC babies we're familiar with are now known as the Newborns.
Newborns are little crying potatoes that become infants after a few days.
The latest pictures from EA show that these infants are likely aged 3 months and above. How exciting!
Some new interactions we can expect include teaching our infants how to crawl, stand, feeding them, throwing birthday parties and many more!

To get all the added bonus quirks, build mode items, cute infant clothes and milestones, you do have to purchase The Sims 4 Growing Together expansion pack that comes with the update.

The Sims 4 has really listened to their players and made it their sole objective to make the game more and more immersive. If you can’t wait to test it out, the update is now downloadable!
